DIRECTOR STATEMENT
"I wanted to make a film that was exaggerated but true, as, "the most personal is the most creative". I took from my own experiences growing up in New York City and want to amalgamate genres in order to create a film that eases, shocks and makes viewers ponder after viewing. I was influenced by Alfred Hitchcock's "Rope" and think of my film as a combination of that, "Get Out", "Boogie Nights" and Richard Linklater's, "Everybody Wants Some". I aimed to blend these influences to craft a contemporary film that encapsulates the essence of societal disparities, the pursuit of acceptance, and the unforeseen consequences of chasing a life that seems ostensibly unattainable."
